Today I finished Alice! It's brilliant to finally see it complete.
I've spent the past 3 weeks working on it pretty much every day and I've put a heck of a lot of work into it (far more than I have with other costumes anyway).

I posted a montage picture on the page a while back which showed lots of different aspects of the costume.
Since that image I added buttons to the costume, diamonds to the hair and laces and I shortened the red and gave it a border.

Now I'm sure I've missed nothing!
I'm proud to say I've included all the details I could find, but if you spot anything I've missed please do let me know!

Anyway, I wont be posting any photos of the costume, sorry! :P
I'm going to save that for the proper photoshoot shots which I hope to get at the meet next week. I'm hoping to get some really good photos out of this, so look out for those!

My Alice wig arrived!
I adore it, and I keep wanting to wear it, but it get tangles so easily, so I have to leave it be until the meet.

I love everything about this costume!
The design is so pretty and half of it is stuff I'd wear in everyday life, and those gloves feel sooo nice to wear!  I'm so excited to get it finished, because I know I'm going to love wearing it.

Anyway, since the wig turned up I've been working frequently on the costume, or as frequently as materials will allow.
I thought it was time to post a progress dump since I've actually done quite a bit.

So far I've managed to put together the bow, gloves and skirt as well as a mock-up or test of the red coat.  Unfortunately I ran out of red fabric while making the mock-up so it only had one sleeve. I know what I'm doing though, so it doesn't matter that it only has one.
Finished bow, Version 1.
Sewn detail on gloves.

Today, my shirt turned up too, I've been meaning to get a shirt anyway for interviews/work and such so I figured I might as well use it for this costume rather than making a separate one.
I tried it on with my skirt and bow, as well as with the mock-up, so that I could see where I needed to adjust the pattern when making the real thing. You can see below that I lined where I want to extend or change parts. I also re-made the top of the bow earlier, but have no photos yet. If you have any pointers please comment!

I'm really happy with how it's going so far, originally, I thought this would be really tricky, but as I've been working I've found out that it's actually pretty easy and not much different from my other costumes in terms of construction.
Apart from the bow... that's proving to be pretty tricky to make it look good and be the right size. I'm still not happy with it.

The actual fabric I will be using for the coat was delivered yesterday, and I'm waiting for a dressmakers mannequin to turn up tomorrow, so I'll be getting straight to work on it, and will hopefully have the majority of it finished by the weekend (bar buttons and zips which I still need to pick up!).

The boots I'm modifying have yet to turn up, I just hope they'll turn up in the next couple of the weeks and not after the meet...

Anyway, I've rambled on enough, you can find more progress pictures on the costume page:

You can also post comments on costume pages now, so if you want to, please drop a comment on there.

Just a quick post to say I've entered the Cosplay Idol this year.
I'm not expecting to win, but it seemed fun to enter so I did!
I entered with SeeU, since I'm really proud of that costume and I think it's one of my better ones. Link seemed far too plain to get me anywhere.

If you could take a moment to vote for me, then I'd be really greatful! Just follow this link:
http://cosplayidol.otakuhouse.com/2012/05/europe/linky-lex-seeu-from-vocaloid/

For the vote to count you must either like it using the Google +1 button or the Facebook. Tweeting and liking/sharing on the Facebook page wont count as a vote, but if you could even just share it to your friends then that would make me happy!
Please try to spread the word, like and share! :)

I got to into the top 5 for my category pretty much straight away, so please just help me keep that position so I reach the finals, as long as I can get that far, I'll be more than happy.

Don't forget, you can vote for as many entrants as you like, so be sure to check out the other amazing cosplayers, and if you are entered yourself then please drop me a link in the comments so I can vote for you too!

Thank you to anyone who does vote!

Hey guys!As you might have noticed I moved my website and changed the layout of it.
I decided to change the website builder I was using because I was having quite a few problems with it. Hopefully this one should be much better.

There have been a few changes to the content since the move. For now I've dropped the Art and Furry Ones pages. They're still there, but they're empty, because for now I'm just going to focus on the costume stuff.I don't really have the time or patience to set up the other pages properly.

I've also added a Sales and Commissions page, because I have a few things I need to shift, more retired costumes and wigs will be added soon too! Commissions aren't open, but I'm hoping to open them for simple things soon, so keep an eye out if you're interested.

As well as this I've added an F.A.Q because I often get questioned about where I get materials from and how I make things. Please check it out if you have any questions, and submit some more for me if you have anything to ask, thanks!

I recently started work on my Alice costume too, and I'll be posting plenty of progress photos for this, which can all be found on the costume page. So far I've just made the bow and the base for the scythe while I'm waiting on materials being delivered, but it should be getting updated pretty regularly.

I'm hoping to have Alice finished for June for the cosplay meet. We've got a big Pandora Hearts group going which I'm planning to be a part of, it's exciting!
If she's not done for then, I'll have to wait until October to debut her at the MCM Expo.

While I'm on the subject of Expo, I just booked the hotel for that! My first Expo in London, I'm really looking forward to that, and to meeting many of my southern cosplay friends!

That's about all for now. Remember, I'll be using the main page to post the most recent site and costume updates so you can quickly browse that page for new things to check out. I'll try to update at least every week.

Thanks for stopping by!
